The Venue
Geoffroy Hall
We are thrilled to be hosted at Iowa State University’s Geoffroy Hall. As one of the newest residential facilities on campus, Geoffroy serves as a modern, high-capacity headquarters for our 2026 event.
The first floor of Geoffroy is designed to be the heart of the Archive experience, providing a balance of event space for both open social gathering and focused gameplay sessions.
Staying on-site at Geoffroy Hall offers a seamless transition from the gaming table to a comfortable place to recharge. Residential accommodations begin on the second floor, meaning your room is just a floor away from the main event space.
Participation Types

1
Game Masters
As a GM, you are an architect at the core of the event. GMs are responsible for preparing and hosting three sessions over the weekend, utilizing their own unique rulesets, custom narratives, or homebrew settings. You’ll have access to the club’s extensive library of miniatures and terrain to help bring your world to life. This is the ultimate role for those who love world-building and want to challenge players with truly unique gaming experiences.
2
Dedicated Players
As a Dedicated Player, your mission is to immerse yourself in the creative visions that our GMs offer. You are the "Honored Guest" of the Archive, moving between different worlds, systems, and stories. You’ll be scheduled for 4–6 sessions total (averaging 5) designed to give you a broad taste of what our Game Masters have to offer. Because we prioritize diverse groupings, you won’t just be exploring new games—you’ll be forging new friendships with a wide variety of club members across every round.
3
Non-Player Attendee
Interested in attending Osiris, but not interested in participating in gaming sessions? That’s just fine with us - you won’t be alone! There are already many attendees who are only interested in joining for the festivities and not the games themselves. Uniquely this year we will have a large community event space that will be open separate from gaming rooms with socializing and activities during play sessions - including themed movies running during each session on the room’s large projector screen.

What to plan for
Bathroom Essentials: The venue will provide bed linens and towels for every participant. However, please remember to pack your own toiletries and bathroom products (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.).
Keep it Cool: Rooms in Geoffroy Hall do not have refrigerators. If you plan on keeping drinks or snacks cold, we highly recommend bringing a cooler.
Gaming Gear: Don't forget your dice, notepads, and preferred writing utensils. While we provide the setting, you provide the tools for your visionary experiences!
Restrictions
To ensure we remain in good standing with the venue and provide a welcoming environment for all members, we ask that everyone follow these basic guidelines:
Alcohol Policy: In accordance with venue regulations, public consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited. Much like the residence hall policies you may remember from college, open alcohol is not allowed in hallways or common areas. Any beverages should be kept in concealed containers.
Conduct: We are a club of adults gathered for mutual recreation. We expect all members to be respectful of the facility, the staff, and each other and act with the maturity and sportsmanship.
Parking
Parking at Geoffroy Hall is conveniently located on the South side of the building with a large lot available to all attendees with access from Gable Ln.
Once parked, follow the signs to the main entrance of Geoffroy Hall to check in and begin your Archive experience.
